I am a very strong writer, comfortable with process, management and treatment of ideas. I have a full complement of strategies that have curbed my previous difficulties with issues of motivation. Right now, my greatest struggle is with the academic genre and maintaining academic voice in my writing.
I am interested in forming a writing group as soon as possible, even if in this first year of my program I am only bringing blog posts and small papers for feedback, perspective and probing questions. I would love to work with a wide variety of folks across many different content areas and interests, and those that are in different places in the program. I was previously in a PhD program for literacy (my research interest was writing) but I am currently interested in student science reasoning, and the overlap of technology and cognition in all academic areas related to reasoning.
